A Letter from the Founder
Dear Brothers and Sisters, From its inception the vision of Leadership Vistas has been to fill Africa with godly, competent and compassionate leaders. For two decades the Lord has been our gracious and unseen partner in the work of our ministry, and He has indeed blessed us with much fruit. We have seen it in the host of pastors who have gone out from our training programs equipped with their own visions for ministry in churches, prisons, orphanages, and evangelism organizations. We have seen their readiness to labor faithfully and courageously for God's glory and the growth of His kingdom. We have seen it in the many women who speak about the impact which they are having in their homes and families; in their churches, where they have introduced innovative Sunday School programs for the children; and in their communities, where they are organizing Bible studies for their neighbors, friends and even Muslim unbelievers. The name of the Lord is being celebrated in newly planted churches, orphanages, refugee camps, and prisons. We see changed lives, churches and communities, and we are praising the Lord. We remain strongly committed to our vision for Africa, and we will continue to sponsor our leadership development programs in partnership with the Lord and the people who generously give of their time, wealth and prayers to support our teaching ministry. We invite you to join us in this work, and we are praying that you will stand with us in this ministry venture as LEADERS FOR HIS KINGDOM. In Him, Jerrold C. Brown, PhD., ThM. NOTE: Dr. Brown retired as Executive Director at the end of 2015. He continued to serve on the Board of Directors through the end of 2019. In 2020 he accepted a retainer fee to lead ministry review of our curriculum and programming. Through much of 2021 Jerry has participated in weekly strategic planning sessions to help Leadership Vistas plot its new (post-pandemic) game plan. Even in retirement, his passion for the pastors and churches in Africa remains steadfast! |
