Imagine---You have lived your life in the shadows of a hollow canyon. One day with a guide’s help you find yourself standing on the peak of a tall mountain. You look out over a vast landscape of hills and valleys towards a vanishing horizon. You can see farther with your eyes than you have ever seen before, and the experience fills you with joy and excitement. Your view of the world has changed---enriched by a wider and deeper perspective---and life will not be the same again.
Just so is the vision which God has given us for Leadership Vistas, an international Christian ministry, in Africa. We see a host of pastors and church leaders---once tentative and uncertain with their words and actions--- now standing confidently before their churches with new knowledge and insight into God’s Word. They delight in sharing fresh ideas and understandings with their friends, families, and congregations. The eyes of their minds have been opened to new viewpoints by trained instructors, and these perspectives now give shape to their preaching and teaching. These men and women glow with the light of new discoveries.
